When shifting the transmission into drive the car does not Move or it moves slowly?

My car doesn't not move or it moves slow when I put my car transmission into drive.

Hi,

Please understand, Toyota doesn't provide this model in the US, so I have no specifics related to it. However, I will try my best to help. Also, I believe here it is the Yaris, so that is what I will use as a reference.

First, have you checked the basics such as if the fluid is full and clean?

When you shift to drive or reverse, does the indicator show the correct gear and does the shifter feel normal, or does it feel loose? If it feels odd, check to see if the cable is properly moving the shift lever on the transmission. Make sure it is tight and properly mounted. See pic below
