Code P0760, after driving a short distance it goes into limp mode, could it be the shift solenoid?

Have code p0760. After driving the car for a mile or two it goes into limp mode. If I shut the vehicle off it drives regularly again for a few more miles. I was wondering if replacing the shift solenoid would possibly fix the issue.

Yes, it can, this code means:

P0760 - Shift Solenoid C Malfunction

I must warn you though if the transmission is having an internal issue this will not fix it FYI. They service the shift solenoid by replacing the module, here is what it looks like, be sure to clear the codes once the repair is completed. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

You might be able to take the valve body apart and find the shift solenoid. It is the one with the drgrn/drblu wire going to it. I would put 12 volts to it to see if you can hear it click. If not, it is bad. But like I say, the transmission might have an internal issue and cause this code because the fluid pressure is dumping.

I bought a valve body and solenoid pack. I'll install and today and let you know. I don't think there's anything internally wrong with the transmission because I believe it would throw another code. Only code is p0760.
