How often you replace trans fluid and what type of fluid. I've heard people use 10-30 engine oil.

Here is the information on changing the transmission fluid in your car. You should change out the fluid every 80,000 miles.

TYPE .................... SG

Above 20°F (-7°C) .................... 30
Above 0°F (-18°C) .................... 20W-40
All temperatures .................... 10W-30*, 10W-40*
* Preferred.

CAPACITY, Refill:
1986-87:
4-speed .................... 2.3 liters 4.8 pints
5-speed:
Accord, Prelude .................... 2.4 liters 5.0 pints
Civic .................... 2.3 liters 4.8 pints

1988-91:
Civic, CRX, 2WD .................... 1.8 liters 3.8 pints
4WD .................... 2.3 liters 4.8 pints
Prelude .................... 1.9 liters 4.0 pints
Accord, 1988-89 .................... 2.3 liters 4.8 pints
Accord, 1990-91 .................... 1.9 liters 4.0 pints
