the car will drive in D,D1,D2, but will not reverse. what could be making this happen? I was told it could be the solenoid or something like that. any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

this is probably an internal problem it can be a stuck fork shaft, bad modulator valve, reverse CPC valve, burnt or bad seals on fourth clutch/accumulator . I doubt it is a gear problem, but it could be that . have a transmission specialist scan for codes.
