This is called Limp in mode. It is there to prevent any damage done to the unit because the control module saw something that could do that.
In order to figure this out, we need to find out what codes are in the computer. This will tell us about where the issue is. It will more than likely require some diagnosis but I can help with that part once we get the codes.
