Transmission will not shift out of first gear and code P0722?

Code P0722 for output shaft sensor no signal, I have 12 volts and ground with the reference. I changed the output sensor, but it still won't shift. My primary and secondary pulled RPMs will not change. Does anyone know anything about this? I pulled the transmission pan and there were a small amount of shavings.

Hi,

Where are you getting 12v? The speed sensor output voltage should be less than.05v when the vehicle isn't moving. To me, it sounds like you have a short to voltage.

Do me a favor. Perform the test in the attachment below. Let me know the results.

I have 12 volts for pin 3, .02 volts for pin 2 and ground at pin 1.

I have done all of the test everything tested correctly when I manually shift the transmission, I have found that going into 4th gear will result in whining and growling from the transmission. There is most likely issues internally with the transmission.

Hi,

It's very possible. Is the P0722 the only code? Have you checked again recently? Also, is the sound you hear when shifting manually loud enough for you to record and upload so I can hear it?
