Car is not shifting properly. Speedometer takes a couple minutes to pick up speed. Rpm's taking forever to shift. Idles low. Sputters and jerks.

Give it a diagnostic scan to check for trouble codes and if any found, let us know the exact code. There are many possibilities and it could be due to a faulty sensor or a badly performing engine. The transmission could also be locked in limp mode resulting in transmission locked only in third speed.
