Hi,

This is a big job. The cradle will need to be removed. As far as the directions, there is one set for both a 2wd and 4wd vehicle.

When you come to the 4wd info, you should be able to simply bypass them.

If you look below, the directions for both the removal and replacement of the transmission. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

What size are the top bell housing bolts? Can't seem to find the right tool to remove them. Are they a hex head?

Hi,

They should be a hex-head bolt. The manual doesn't provide the size, and I always make size determinations when it's in front of me. If I had to guess, I would suspect them to be around 18mm. That should get you at least close.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Hi,

If the system is totally empty, it holds 8.2 quarts. Keep in mind that if you are using the old torque converter, it holds fluid in it.

If you look below, I provided the info from the manual for you.

I hope this helps.

Take care,

Joe
