Transmission feels like neutral when the transmission is in D and it slips?

My car goes into what feels like neutral when I'm in D and it slips whenever I try to press on the gas reverse works fine, it's just my other gears don't. My car will drive but you have to push it for a little bit, but it slips every time. I want to find any way I could fix it without getting a new transmission, but if I have to I can. Thanks for helping me.

The first thing we need to do is check the fluid level and condition of the fluid, then I would run the codes to see what comes up. These generic guides can help you see what's going on and I have included instructions for your car in the images below:

If the fluid is burnt, you can try to change the fluid out.

If the fluid is okay, I would try an input shaft speed sensor which I have seen cause problems like this. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
