Accelerating from a stop the transmission would not shift into second gear?

Was driving great the other day I was waiting for someone to come out with the car running, then when I took off it wouldn't shift into second gear and I noticed the fluid leaked out a hose maybe.

Hi,

It sounds like you may be leaking transmission fluid. Since it won't shift, that is my first suspect.

Is the fluid leaking reddish in color? If it is, don't drive it until we find and repair the leak. This will cause damage to the transmission if it is too low.

The transmission cooler lines run between the transmission and the radiator. The lines are made of both metal and rubber. I attached a pic below and highlighted the rubber lines. These are the most likely to fail.

Open the hood and look down at the radiator between the engine fan and radiator to locate the cooler lines. Follow those to see if there is a leak at any point.

Yeah, it looks like a hose is hanging from the from front of pan and yes, its redish color.

And it was leaking right near the pan.

Hi,

It sounds like transmission fluid. I attached directions below for removing and replacing the lines related. The last pic indicates the type of fluid you need to refill it.

Don't drive it until this is resolved.

Hi,

The difficulty level will be based on the location of the leak. If it is a rubber line, I would rate it at a 3 or 4. If it is the steel line at the transmission, I would say a 5 because of access limitations.
