I have an 04 crossfire, been driving great and have had no problems. Went to drive it yesterday and now I only have 3rd and 4th gear. I can cycle the transmission through all 6 gears including reverse but only 3rd and 4th activate. Is this a problem with the PCM? If so can I just simply reset it?

This is an electronically controlled transmission that also has a TCM. It needs to be troubleshooted by a professional using a scan tool capable of accessing the trans module. From there he can activate the various solenoids and determine what is working and what is not.

You know, I just noticed your title and previously though you had an auto trans. Does the gear shift feel normal through the other gears.

Thank you for your response. Yes it does feel normal, sounds normal too. I can roll through every gear including reverse (reverse light on the bumper does not come on). Every shift is smooth and sounds perfectly fine until I turn it on, then no matter what gear I'm actually in it engages 3rd or 4th.

That sounds like something is broken inside the transmission and it will have to come out and apart.
