Dash says vehicle speed too high to shift to park, car won’t shut off and rolls backwards on its own?

It sounds like one of the CV axles is broken, does the car move when you start it up and try to drive? If not, I would raise the rear of the car and when it is in park, hold one front tire and try to turn the other, it should not spin.

If this look for an axle shaft that turns but not the tire. If the axle shafts or okay the shifter cable needs to be looked at. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
