Transmission goes into gear but does not move

moved a little in reverse. It was a sudden thing no warning of slipping or anything. can you help me out?

Welcome back to 2CarPros. That sounds like front pump failure or a band failure. They also have had an issue with the sealing rings but those usually show slipping first.
Either one means pulling the transmission for a rebuild or replacement. Because these transmissions are fully mechanical there isn't something like a solenoid failure causing it.
You might want to check the fluid level just to be sure it isn't something like a failed cooler line, but usually that would create a big puddle that you would notice.
That should have either an A727 (most likely) or the A904 transmission.

What rebuild kit would you recommend?
There are some on EBay that I’m not to sure of.

I normally ship out rebuilds to a local shop. However, if I build one I normally use either TCI or ATP parts. However I generally also modify them a bit. I believe Rock Auto has ATP kits. Biggest thing will be to verify the exact transmission you have first. The easy way to tell the basic transmission is the pan outline.
