When attempting to shift into gear the transmission jerked bad and lost third and fourth gears

The AT light came on I went to put it in gear it jerked really bad and it has no third or fourth gear and it is full on fluid.

Okay. We most likely have a solenoid issue but we need need to check for codes to determine if we have a wiring, pressure, or solenoid itself issue.
If you cannot pull codes then most parts stores can do it free of charge. Let me know what the code is and we can go from there. Thanks
