Transmission not shifting gears after replacing broken drive shaft

My 4x4 drive shaft broke and pulled the electrical wiring harness completely out. Had it rewired and replaced,also replaced the speed sensors. Truck will now crank and drive but will not shift gears, checked fluid and fuses. What could be the problem?
