Transmision swap

Dad's car listed above with a 1.9 tdi. transmission has been acting up for a while. He was offered one from a gas powered 2.0 automatic 2007 for a great price but we are wondering if they are compatible. Can we swap those? Thanks in advance.

These transmissions are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, you cannot install the transmission out of the 2007.

I have attached the transmission replacement procedure; in case you find a transmission that will fit.
