No you do not need to worry about this. This is a myth that changing the transmission fluid will cause the transmission to fail. You need to change the fluid when you are supposed to so if you only have 52,000 miles then it is time to change it, even though you are way past the time part of it.
The whole idea of it causing a failure comes from those that change the fluid and then have issues. Two problems with this, first you never hear from the people that change the fluid and do not have an issue so you are only hearing from one side of the story.
The second reason for this, is this assumes that there was no issue with the transmission before the fluid was changed and that it wasn't going to fail at the exact same time with the old fluid.
People change the fluid then have an issue and they blame the fluid change when in reality there were already issues.
The only argument that I have heard that is plausible but still not valid is that there is clutch material floating around in the old fluid and that is helping the clutches grab when they are applied. Even if this is true, the idea is flawed because this clutch material that is floating in the fluid, helping the clutches to seat when applied, is supposed to be on the clutches not floating in the fluid. So the transmission is already damaged.

The best way to keep your vehicle in good running order is to regularly change the fluids when the manual tells you too. Let us know if you have questions. Thanks
