Transfer Case disassembly, where does the spacer go?

I tore it all apart and now I've got a spacer, I can't seem to remember where it goes. See the spacer I have in my hand? Do you know where it goes? Thanks.

It looks like it goes over one of the main shafts judging by its inner diameter. Here is an exploded view of the transfer case so you can see how it is assembled. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I believe it is Item 20, it just sits funny in there and covers part of the grooves on the shaft, so it confused me. Thanks as always!

Success and a failure. I got it back in the truck and drove it. 20 minutes later it is now leaking pretty bad from the Xfer case. Looks like I did not put enough sealant on the case halves, specifically the planetary gear case half. I will have to take it out again. Luckily, I can unbolt the back cover only and redo the sealant. I messed up. I did not let the sealant set. Oops!
