Will a transfer case out of a 2004 Dodge Durango work in a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and if not, what would?

Hi,
There are a couple that were used in this vehicle. If you have a manual-shift transfer case, an NV 243 or an NV 241 will work. Both of these transfer cases were manufactured by New Process.
As far as the Durango, the NV 144 and NV 244 were used. These are designed differently and won't work.
Let me know what is happening with the transfer case you have and maybe there is a way to repair it.
