I put it in 4L and 4H and wen I went to put it back in 2 wheel drive the shifter just moves freely not locking back in to 2 wheel drive

Check to see if the encoder motor on tcase works it may not or only go one way. Scan for codes as well

Ok I got this fixed now wen u shift on the column say u shift from park to reverse well it doesn't light up the Road or if ur in drive it says ur in neutral wat is this

Scan for codes it may be the trans switch is going bad that tells what gear you arein
