After driving my car and keeping the rpm at a low rate (under 3,000 rpm's) the transmission will try to shift into third gear and fail then drop to first. Always happens when I am moving under thirty mph. After a restart it normally works however sometimes i need to drive in low gear for five minutes at a high rpm to fix the problem. Can you help me please?

Sounds like the transmission computer is going into "limp mode." Basically, it is detecting some sort of problem, and then locking you down to first gear so that you can limp it to a shop. Take it to a transmission shop and get it scanned. Come back with code numbers and we can look up what to do and guide you through the process.
