Car goes into gear fine, locks up tight in low and in reverse. When driving it will not shift into second gear. Scanner says transmission output sensor.

Good evening,

If it locks up in reverse and does not shift, the forward clutch pack in the transmission is locked up or seized. You are basically trying to engage into 2 gears at once.

This will require removal and inspection and will result in either a rebuild or replacement transmission.
