I am wondering if I can replace the transmission in my car listed above with a transmission from an 2003 Grand Mm v6.

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros. Based on what you mentioned I do not believe it will work since your trying to put a transmission on from a bigger engine. The transmission control module is already set up for the 4 cylinder.

You can also call the parts department at your local GM dealership and give you the part numbers to see if it will fit. I highly doubt it will fit.

Can the transmission control module be swapped too, in order to fix that problem? Or is that not possible?

I would call a wrecking yard they have software they will tell you what year fits what. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
