Tranny ruined in automatic car wash?

When putting my car on the conveyor belt of an automatic car wash. I accidentally put my car in park instead of neutral. There was a good 5 seconds of jerking before I got it into neutral. It drove immediately after, but I now notice a loud whining sound coming from the engine that wasn't there before. Could I have ruined my transmission?

I don't think you hurt the transmission. Can you describe the sound?

It sounds similar to a super charger. I've been paying more attention recently and am beginning to think it may be normal. I've only noticed it sometimes on start up and others during acceleration in low gears. I also watched a youtube walk around video of the same model car and noticed the sound in the video as well.

Chances are it is fine. However, since it is under warranty, you may want the dealer to listen to it. It is up to you if you want to mention what happened.
