Just changed the clutch, was wanting to know what fluid to use and how much. I have also seen that you have to pump it in from the side of the transmission but how can you really tell if it’s full? Someone said you use the top fill hole and add until it comes out the top but if I’m filling it from the top hole I can I see when it’s full?

Good afternoon,

The fill is on the side of the transmission. I attached a picture of where the plug is located. Fill the fluid through the hole until fluid comes out. That will indicate the fluid is full.

Roy

4.4 pints of oil.

The fluid is Dexron IIE. You can get it at any parts store.

What does the “ E “ stand for with the Dexron 11E? AutoZone doesn’t carry this type but has some that says it replaces Dexron 11 but it doesn’t say “ E “.

I’ve got the transmission back on after changing the clutch on a 1993 s10 and the clutch pedal will not push in?

You can use just the Dexron II.

Do you mean it will not move at all? Did you check the slave cylinder is mounted correctly?
