I took a TH400 out put TH350 in reverse works well forward gears don't work.I can jack back wheels off ground wheels spin in forward gears weakly. Supposed to be a rebuilt transmission what can I check before I take it out

Has new torque converter fluid level is fine new drive shaft and yoke

Have the rebuild person fix it sounds like an internal problem.
