My neutral safety switch is going I just had my transmission rebuilt. would that make my transmission slip like not know what gear its in?

Oh my truck starts and shuts off in gear now.

the neutral switch tells what gear it is in but may be messing up TCM if it is not doing it right. take it back to place that did it they should guarantee it.
