There is no way of telling until the transmission is removed and dismantled, as there is just no way of knowing what has failed, you may be able to locate a reco change over transmission, a suppliers can quote supply and fit on this.

Transmission fluid may also be an issue. But that said you might have to dismantle everything before you conclude.
