Low traction light on?

I was driving and the low traction light can on, and the car began driving like it was in low gear and it seemed like it had difficulty switching gears.

Hello,

Do you have a scan tool of any kind that can scan the CAN system? If not, any parts store should be able to scan and give you the codes free of charge. Is the Check Engine light on, or any other lights? Typically, a traction light will have a code stored in the ABS module. Let's do this and we can move forward.

You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
