We can help you with this information. (Engine size do you mean 1.5?) On the Yaris you have a switch make sure it is not in the off position. Check out the diagrams (below).

Okay, SKOOTER24,

You started vehicle running and pressed traction control button and light stays on regardless.
Now you have to scan to read any trouble codes in system (scan ABS system as well)

The first thing is to scan systems for codes (if you don't have a scanner parts stores read it for you for free, if there is a code snap a picture with your phone, do not erase)
Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
If there is no codes you have to remove switch and measure to verify if it is working.
