Hello, the Throttle Position sensor is on the side of the throttle body. If you open the hood, there should be a tag on the bottom of the hood that will list what size engine this is. It's either a 2.2 liter or 2.4 liter. I believe the setup is mostly the same for both engine sizes.
If you follow the air intake tube from the air filter box, and the end of the air intake tube is the throttle body (picture 1). Some models have a throttle cable from the gas pedal going to them, and some don't. Depends on the design.
The fourth picture shows a different design where the throttle body is on the back of the engine. If you put the VIN up, we can look it up from there and tell exactly which design you have.
Some of these sensors have an adjustment screw, and some don't. In the 1st picture you'll notice the two screws that hold the TPS on, adjustable ones will have one of the screw holes elongated. This is for adjusting it when the throttle is closed.
No programming is needed but there was a code it should be cleared after the sensor is replaced.
Did you have a check engine light on and get a code for this sensor?
