2009 Toyota Yaris maintenance light flashes 7 times

2009 Toyota Yaris 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

everytime i start the car the maintenance light flashes exactly 7 times and stops.....i have no problem with the vehicle, it appears to operate fine....what is the light telling me?

it almost time for an oil change

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil replacement, turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer showing TRIP A.
Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down trip meter RESET button.
Hold trip meter RESET button down for at least 5 seconds until odometer indicates "000000" and MAINT reminder light goes out.
