2005 Toyota Tundra What if?

My friend just bought a used truck and checked the oil, but didn't see any oil on the dipstick, so added 2 or 3 quarts. Later found out he may have added more oil and didn't need too. Will anything happen if the oil is overfilled by that much?

Should not drive around with it will cause damage
Should drain some out or change the oil
