Brake and back-up lights inop on 84 Tercel

Brakes and Reverse lights inop. they're two seperate circuit-

What about the tail lights? if all of them are not working I'll start tracing the ground to it. You can verify this by removing the bulb and check for power in the socket if it has-your ground is gone. Now no power at all could be an open or short to ground.

Toyotas they all share the same ground wire to operate the Tail/Brake/Turn Signal/Reverse
