1997 Toyota Tercel making continous ticking noise when cold

my 1997 tercel making weird sharp ticking noise when cold..noise is quite loud.when it comes to normal temp than its fine. somebody told me that might be the oil filter is blocked.
can anybody show me the right way?

Measure oil pressure with mechanical gauge, oil pump pressure regulator spring may be sticking.
