Where is the noise coming from?
What type of noise are you getting?
Does the noise go away if the shift lever is moved to R, N or D?

It sounds like it's coming from the engine. It's not as bad whenI take it out of park. Once I start driving for a bit it sounds okay until I put it in park again.

Seems the problem is from the transmission.
With vehicle on slight gradient, shift to park and release the handbrakes. If vehicle starts to slide forward, it means the transmission parking gears are bad.
