I want to try replacing my valve cover gasket (diagnosed as bad by a garage). Are there/What are the torque measurements for putting the valve cover back on?

You can get the torque specs from a service manual. the important thing is that you don't over tighten this will cause damage to the gasket.

just tighten them down snug not to tight. be sure when you put the cover back on the gasket does not move look at the gasket after you sit the cover on make sure it is in the cover all the way around
