1985 Toyota Tercel dead cyli.

1985 Toyota Tercel 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

The #1 cly is dead. when I pull the plug wire there is no affect. The cly has 180 lbs. of compression and the plug fires. This not fuel injected so I would think fuel is the same as the other clys. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi, remove the valve cover to check the camshaft lobs, and valve train. If it only misses at idle check for vacuum leaks that would effect that cylinder.
