The other day on the freeway my engine felt like it was stuttering then the check engine light flashed for about 15 seconds and went away. It would only flash after i got around 60mph but would go away below that. The next day I finaly got the check engine light to stay on so it threw a code it said cylander 4 was misfiring. My two questions are would replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires fix this? And will it hurt the enngie any if I drive it to the store to get parts to fix it?

Hi there,

This could be a plug, a lead, a faulty injector, a vacuum leak or even low compression, so you really need to know what the problem is first, but generally speaking driving to get parts if you just a minor missing fire should not be a problem.
