2001 Toyota Tacoma engine knock

My tacoma knocks upon start up and will only do it for like a couple blocks and stop for the rest of the day? Its not a huge knock that sounds like it's tearing something up but more of a tapping sound that, like I said goes away after a little while. The oil level is fine too.....

Most likely a pulley bearing that is bad.

Change oil and look for metal particles in oil, (use magnet), if none, then an assy. drive pulley is most likely culprit.
