1995 Toyota Tacoma adjusting the timing

my father and i just replaced an engine head, and did not mark the timing on the distributor correctly so now,it will crank, but won't idle. is there anyway to reset the whole timing from 0? If so how?

You need to verify the valve timing you could be 180deg off
