Engine Performance problem
1988 Toyota Supra 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160xxx miles

I resently rebuilt my 1988 7m-gte engine, and i am having a problem with my engine's performance. The engine does not rev over 2000 rpm, and does not pick up over 40 mph. Does anyone have any idea what should i ckeck, or know what the problem is?

Test the coolant temperature/throttle position/vehicle speed/airflow sensors-also test the fuel pressure and the exhaust system for restriction.
