i just put the engine in the car an when i started it the idul was going up an down.the R.P.M s would rev up then drop back down.

i have a repair book but it dont have the answer in it it does not say anything about a pullsing idol

I had the same problem on an 86 mr2 i had, i asked someone and he said it was the solenoid, but i then went to a mechanic and he told me it was just a simple vacum line issue.
