My half shaft right rear axle has 4 bolts on inner and outer connections. To remove and install rebuilt half axle, do I just remove the 8 bolts and then install rebuilt axle same way? Do I install rubber seal in differential?
thanks

Removal Disconnect drive axle from differential side gear flange and from stub axle flange. Installation Install drive axles with narrow distance between flange and boot band at differential side. Use care to avoid damage to boots when installing drive axles. Tighten nuts to 44-57 ft. lbs. (60-77 N.m).
Only replace the pinion seal if it's leaking, this requires you to remove the stake nut and pinion flange, not necessary for axle replacement.
