Vehicle came with run-flats and no spare. Hated the run-flats and changed to regular tires, but there is nowhere to store a spare other than strapped to the roof rack or in passenger compartment. Wife is not fond of roof rack idea, so I want to get a compact spare to keep in back, but the dealer wants about $300 for a donut/rim. So I guess my question is will any 17" 5 lug donut work? Thanks.

no it wont. my suggestion to you is to contact a salvage yard near you and ask them, just tell them your situatuion and they can determine what donut will work on your truck and also this will be the cheapest way out. this is what i would do if you came in to my shop. hope this helps
