the vsc light has come on along with the check engine light. Is the car safety to drive home 150 miles?

Hi there,

The CEL should be the cause of the VSC indicator light showing and most likely it is a misfiring from the engine causing it.

Get the trouble code retrieved from Autozone, they provide free scanning, and if it is misfiring, it should not be a problem.

Restarting the vehicle shoudlhave the light going off and only coming back when the problem reoccurs. As long as you do not have major performance or engine operations issues, it should be ok to drive the vehicle.
