Electrical problem
2000 Toyota Sienna 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 52.000 miles

Hello. Last week while replacing the alternator. I accidently blew out a 140 amp fuse/ link. Got a new one from dealer but dont know how to install. I didnt get much help from the dealership. According to them, they have no info how to replace it. All they told me that the whole thing has to be pulled out but no luck as of yet. I will really appreciate any help in this matter,
Thanks.

Hi vimalwalker,

Thank you for the donation.

The fuse is bolted on and to gain access, you have to flip open the side cover to get to the bolts.

Remember to disconnect the battery negative terminal first.

Sorry our database does not have any diagrams or process for replacing the fuse.

At the side of the fuse holder, use a flat object to pry the cover, they would flip out and behind the cover you would see a 10 mm or 8 mm hex bolt. Remove both the bolts and you can pull the fuse out.

Reverse procedure to install.
