2000 Toyota Rav4 Brake noise

My Toyota have some noise on it rear brake drum, when i step on the brake paddle to slow down or stop it makes a loud squeaky noise , how can i avoid this problem, specially when rain , i don't know why, i did take the wheel out try to clean it with brake cleaner it helps but only for a couple of days then it come back again, please helpppppppp. thank you in advanced.

Hi there,

You will need to clean the shoes and rough them up with some emery paper,and get the drums skimmed as they are glazed and this will cause the noise you are hearing.
