The trans is slipping, itll randomly gear down, at times often. Van was unused for 3 years before i bought. I changed trans fluid and filter, which reduced the slip but not fully. Should i go for a full fluid flush? It was really sludgy, oh, and one of the pan magnets was broken but i pieced it together

A couple of questions to clarify. Was the fluid burnt and black with a lot of friction material? Also is the trans slipping (not up shifting and reving high) or dropping into a lower gear when it should not? Can you manually shift the vehicle and does it shift firmly when you do? Let me know!
