I just got an 1987 yota pickup with the 22R in it and the damn thing is not in too good of shape but here my prob. I was trying to get the e-brake set and the damn handle just pulled all of the way out. It didnt even turn like it says on the handle. Well the knob turned but I guess no the rod connected to it. But if u could help me try and get it backin that wpuld be great. Thanx

Check if the handle has a roll pin broken or its just a set-screw loose.
Now use a pair of pliers, pull the handle and with the pliers turn the shaft.

Thats not the prob. The handle and the shaft are now sitting in the passanger seat with nothing else attached to it. I need to know how to get it back in (attached) so that I can pass an inspection. Would it just be best to go to a junk yard and get a new (used) one?
